On the occasion of the World Water Day, the Celli Group, world leader in beverage tapping, presents “Acqua Alma”: microfiltered, high quality, customizable and ecosustainable water dedicated exclusively to the HoReCa channel.

The “Acqua Alma” dispensers, designed and manufactured by Cosmetal, a subsidiary of the Group, leader in Italy and Europe in drinking water dispenser manufacturing, will be available in Italy from today thanks to a new dealer network with the support of over 180 technicians already present in Italy.

Moreover, thanks to IntelliWater, an innovative telemetry platform for system remote management developed in-house by the Group and already used in the draught sector, also “Acqua Alma” dispensers will be connected and remotely controllable. Through this technology, customers will be able to monitor in real time the system’s status and consumptions and customize the dispensed water in terms of temperature and fizzing.

An efficient solution for management but especially for the environment, since by using microfiltered water dispensing systems, the costs of bottling processes and bottle transportation and distribution can be avoided. This also significantly reduces the spaces dedicated to bottle storage in facilities. Out of a total of 400,000 establishments in Italy in the HoReCa channel – according to data on the Celli Group provided by TradeLab, a corporate analysis and consultancy company, 12% (approx. 50,000) today are equipped with dispensers of microfiltered water from the water supply network, paving the way to a market with initial potentials of over 100,000 establishments.

“The Italian water market is experiencing a real cultural shift in consumptions – says Mauro Gallavotti, CEO of the Celli Group. Microfiltered water dispensers offer concrete benefits in terms of quality, ecosustainability, savings and customization compared to traditional bottled water. This is why Celli intends to enhance this segment, which today represents with Cosmetal about 20% of the Group’s sales, with the aim of doubling the turnover in the next 4 years.”
