The Celli Group, an Italian company and leader in beverage dispensing systems and accessories, announces the acquisition of 100% of Angram Limited, a UK based specialist in the manufacturing of traditional draught ‘cask’ beer pump systems as well as generic and bespoke fonts. The transaction was executed through ADS2 Holdings Limited, Celli’s UK subsidiary.

With this acquisition, the Celli Group not only further strengthens its position in the UK market but will also exceed €100 million in revenues in 2017.

This acquisition, besides developing strong industrial and commercial synergies between the Group’s two British subsidiaries, will also accelerate the commercial development of Angram’s products through the Group’s sales network internationally.

Angram Ltd, founded in 1974 and owned by the Farrar family, employs about 40 staff at its facility in Thirsk (North Yorkshire), had a turnover of  €8.5 million (GBP 7.2 million) in 2016, with an estimated share of 75% of the UK beer pump dispensing market.

“Angram is a family owned business – said Nigel Farrar, Managing Director of Angram – with a 40 years’ history in beverage dispensing. Ours is a dynamic and passionate team, with a great know-how and an experience developed over the years. We look forward to becoming part of the Celli Group, a world leader, as we will have the opportunity to grow outside the United Kingdom. Angram and Celli’s mission is to offer consumers the best possible drinking experience, focusing on customisation and product design while respecting tradition”.

“The incorporation of Angram into ADS2 – commented Derek Evans, Managing Director of ADS2 – will allow us to have two strong manufacturing hubs and to develop important industrial synergies to create additional value. Commercially, the Group will be able to leverage an even stronger sales team and a more comprehensive product range, allowing us to grow and support our clients both globally and in the UK market”.

“The acquisition of Angram – said Mauro Gallavotti, CEO of the Celli Group – strenghthens our position in the largest world market in terms of draught beer consumption completing our product offering with a highly valuable specialty range.  This will allow the Celli Group to reach the threshold of Euro 100 million turnover”.

Celli Group has been assisted by 121 Advisory, IBB Solicitors, KPMG.
