We interviewed Marcello De Gasperi, founder of the Cocktail Machine start-up, and asked him more details and information about the functioning of the innovative cocktail dispensing system.
Can you tell us how Cocktail Machine works?
Cocktail Machine is a revolutionary digital system to create and record cocktail recipes using simple software, which means safeguarding the barman’s maximum creativity. The ingredients are selected and mixed with absolute precision and in just 5 seconds, a top-quality drink is dispensed without waste or leaks of any kind.
So it is a product that is both high-tech and sustainable.
IoT technology and cloud connectivity make it possible to control the machine remotely and to analyse system data for both commercial purposes and for predictive maintenance. It also makes it possible to monitor the use of raw materials, tracking the amount of ingredients used and the types of cocktails served every day.
Can it prepare any type of cocktail?
Of course! From classic aperitifs and long drinks to tropical cocktails and mocktails, using a database of more than 80 different recipes. It is a highly flexible, intuitive solution. Using a touch-screen interface, the operator can edit recipes with a simple click, changing the alcohol content, for example, or taking out or changing ingredients, and even entering new recipe creations in the system.
