HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This year, for the Christmas holidays, we decided to make a donation gift dedicated to the children by supporting the activities of the Maria Letizia Verga Committee for the studyand treatment of child’s leukemia.

The “Comitato Maria Letizia Verga”, thanks to a partnership between doctors, medical staff, parents and volunteers, has the objective of offering children with leukemia treatment at the Maria Letizia Verga center. They are offered the highest level of medical and psycho-social assistance. The ultimate goal is ensuring they recieve the best opportunities in terms of recovery and quality of life.

The committee has been committed for 39 years to fighting against leukemia. It aims to confront the disease and give treatment by taking care of problems the family faces.

Thanks to progress made in research, today more than 85% of children with leukemia or lymphoma recover, compared to 30% in 1979.
