Excellence is not built within a single manufacturing site. It is built by sharing expertise, common standards and a unified vision.
With this goal in mind, Celli Group hosted its first Global Manufacturing Excellence Workshop at the company's headquarters in San Giovanni in Marignano, bringing together Manufacturing leaders from all of the Group's European production sites for two days of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The workshop marks an important milestone in Celli's ongoing journey towards a more integrated manufacturing model, designed to ensure consistently high standards of quality, efficiency and safety across all production sites.
The workshop was created to transform the best practices developed across individual plants into shared standards, building a common approach that leverages the expertise and experience of every manufacturing site.
Over the two-day programme, participants combined working sessions focused on process standardisation, Lean Six Sigma, visual management and performance indicators with Gemba activities, observing production processes firsthand to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
The objective is not to make every plant identical, but to establish a common manufacturing language that enables every site across the Group to grow together by sharing knowledge, tools and methodologies.
"Operational excellence is never an end in itself. Every improvement we make across our manufacturing sites is ultimately aimed at creating greater value for our customers. By aligning standards, sharing expertise and strengthening collaboration across the Group, we are building a more reliable, more agile and more competitive Celli. "
Federico Testarella, CEO of Celli Group
The Global Manufacturing Excellence Workshop forms part of the Group's broader industrial transformation journey, built around the principles of Lean Six Sigma.
This approach promotes data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement and waste reduction, actively engaging teams in identifying new opportunities to make processes increasingly efficient, safe and reliable.
Particular attention was also given to visual management, an essential tool for making performance immediately understandable, increasing the transparency of manufacturing processes and production areas, and supporting faster, more effective decision-making at every level of the organisation.
"This workshop is not about making every plant identical. It is about identifying what works best, sharing it across the Group and building one common way of working. That's how the Celli Way of Working takes shape: through collaboration, continuous improvement and the commitment of our people."
Luca Pigola, Operational Excellence Manager of Celli Group
Every improvement initiative has a clear purpose: delivering increasingly reliable products and services to our customers.
Through stronger collaboration between manufacturing sites, the sharing of expertise and the adoption of common standards, Celli continues to enhance manufacturing quality, process stability and its ability to respond to the evolving needs of international markets.
The first Global Manufacturing Excellence workshop marks the beginning of a long-term journey that will progressively involve all Celli Group manufacturing sites.
For Celli, excellence is not a destination but an ongoing process, one that starts with people, grows through collaboration and ultimately creates greater value for customers every single day.
