The Celli Group, a company specialised in the design and production of beverage dispensing systems and accessories, announces that it has completed the strategic acquisition of 70% of Uqido srl. The acquisition, the second in 2022 and the eleventh in seven years, is another of Celli Group’s strategic steps, which aims to lead the digital and technological transition of the beverage industry, providing the dispensing world with new digital interaction and consumer experiences.  This acquisition, following the Spanish Reyvarsur, and the opening of the commercial branches in France and Spain, is an important step in the Group’s growth project, which sees it looking to 2022 with a +30% turnover target compared to 2021, the year in which the Group returned to its pre-pandemic turnover.

This acquisition, following the one of Reyvarsur and the opening of commercial branches in France and Spain, marks an additional step forward toward the Group strategic plan; Celli, in 2022, is on track on its ambitious path, driving a +30% YoY growth, vs 2021 when the turnover was back to pre-pandemic results.

Founded in 2010, Uqido is an Italian excellence based in Padua and Milan. It operates in the ICT and new technologies sector. With its team of 30 developers, it specialises in four main business lines: Extended Reality (XR), where immersive technologies can expand real world experiences through the use of virtual elements; Computer Vision and AI, where using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning systems and complex procedural algorithms, machines and computers learn to recognise and correctly index items, situations and events; Internet of Things (IoT), where any physical element acquires the capacity to receive and transfer data via the network, and lastly the ERP Division, where customised management platforms are developed.

"The Celli Group has a clear vision: digitalising the beverage dispensing world - says Mauro Gallavotti, CEO of the Celli Group – to be able to offer to the end user new experiences and to offer to the beverage industry the chance to implement new business models. Thanks to digitalisation, Brands can communicate directly with consumers, guide them to the “point of pouring”, offer them a new experience and new customised drinks, reinvent revenue streams while optimising costs and keeping quality under control. This value creation is the only way to replace “single use packaging”, with greater benefits in terms of sustainability. With Uqido entering the Celli Group, it will have the skills and ability to accelerate this transition. I am pleased to have the chance to work with Pier Mattia Avesani, a forward-thinking leader who will continue to lead Uqido towards new, ambitious highs”.

"Digitalizing a sector means influencing people’s day-to-day lives, improving their experiences and habits, and meet their needs - says Pier Mattia Avesani, CEO and founder of Uqido - and this is why we believe that an industrial player such as Celli Group, with a strong vocation to innovation and sustainability, will be a great accelerator to the diffusion of our technologies and solutions worldwide. This adventure started 12 years ago, and during this time we have grown, supported by the market, incubators and investors: our history is the proof that investing in strong values and in the right team is a winning strategy, in Italy too. We are proud to have compensated those who helped us start and honoured to become part of an international leading Group. This operation is accelerating even further the value creation we have been delivering to our existing Customers; we boost our Digital Solutions unit, expanding our business lines with additional investments strengthening our leadership across the industry.”
